Right outside our doors at the Flats at Bethesda Avenue is the Capital Crescent Trail, a beautiful trail that all our residents enjoy year-round! The Trail is a rail-trail, built upon the abandoned railbed of the 11 mile Georgetown Branch of the B&O Railroad.
The Trail is now complete as a hard-surface trail from Georgetown to Bethesda. It is a packed, crushed stone trail suitable for walkers, joggers and some bikers from Bethesda to Lyttonsville in Western Silver Spring. Six bridges and two tunnels offer trail users gentle gradients and grade-separated crossings at several major roadways.
